Bringing the music we’ve discovered back to Chicago

Every year, ~Nois concerts around the globe lead to new projects, pieces, and friends… but not every audience member is able to directly follow and see these collaborations in person. Because of this, each spring ~Nois brings the fruits of a full season of music-making back to the city of Chicago in an annual show. DISCOVERY is a night which showcases the most exceptional new music in the world from the comfort of your own local Chicago neighborhood.

DISCOVERY just got even BIGGER.

This June, ~Nois brings world premieres by internationally acclaimed Nico Muhly and 2024 Chicagoan of the Year Shawn Okpebholo, along with a world premiere of a new version of Jessie Montgomery’s Break Away.

This year’s DISCOVERY also features the world premieres of the ensemble’s annual Young Creative Fellows - two young Chicago-area creatives and composers that collaborate with ~Nois on new works of their own. Learn more about the Fellowship here.
